What You've All Been Waiting For

Or maybe just what I've been waiting for. Anyway, here is the breakdown of what I will be doing on my internship:
  • Teach English for 1hr 3-4 times per week to Thai worker (possibility)
  • Teach English for 1hr 3 times per week to Hmong worker (possibility)
  • Coordinate accommodation at Mekong Centre for 4 months on a 7 day every 14 days schedule (I'm not really sure what exactly this entails...they will explain it to me when I get there)
  • Assist Supervising children at OMF on an as-needed basis
  • Taking Thai language lessons
Also:
  • I get at least 1.5 days off each week (so I can do things like update this...)
  • I will attend OMF staff meetings
  • I have to read 4 books/write some papers

And the best news of all is...I can finally be registered for my internship!

Please Pray

I'm not sure how many of you have heard anything about Thailand in the news, but it isn't good.

To learn more, here is an article that may help.

I'm not sure what to ask you to pray for...peace in Thailand...my own safety...

The Waiting Game

5 weeks to go...

I still need to be registered with LCC for the internship (so I can get credit for it and GRADUATE!). In order for this to happen I need to finish the learning covenant which is an agreement between me, my adviser, and my field mentor about what is expected of me on my internship. 2 of 3 parts are done...have been waiting on the 3rd part for quite some time.

Other than that everything is falling into place quite nicely. I'm still trying to figure out some details, like if I will take my laptop.

The end of the semester is going really well. With about 2 weeks to go I only have about 14 pages to write.

Please pray for:
the rest of the registration process to go smoothly
focus to stick out through the rest of the semester (I may have senioritis...)

Update: Field Mentor Approved

Yes, you read correctly, my field mentor has been approved!

The rest of the registration process should move a lot quicker now.

Thanks for the prayers!

Hello (?)

Basically I'm just wondering if anyone has actually checked out my blog.

I don't really have much to share right now, since the details of my internship are kind of up in the air.

Please be praying for the details of my internship to fall into place. There are a lot of logistical things to be worked out still, especially with registration at LCC and things of that nature.
